THE PSYCHOLOGY OF A “BEFORE” AND “AFTER” SPACE

We all lead busy lives, and busyness can lead to things piling up over time. A need for change compelled us to re-look; re-think and re-construct our own house of business and unpack the systems that are out of date and, simply said, wasting our time. This process of reconstruction made me think: This is what our clients experience to lesser and greater degrees when their spaces are being de & re-constructed. Change is inevitable for all of us. You are either thinking about areas you would like to change or where you have already begun to implement changes, but are now stuck.

If you find yourself in a similar space, the overarching rule: Start with decluttering and re-organizing a space.

‘STUFF’ COMPETES FOR YOUR ATTENTION

Everything you own has an energy field surrounding it and therefore hold on your attention; consciously or subconsciously. The more clutter you have, the more energy is tied up in the matter. Only own what is useful to you and clear out excess clutter to free up your energy for what really matters to you.

CLUTTERED BECAUSE OF CLUTTER?

We all have compartments in our lives that need decluttering (literally & figuratively). It is a habit that keeps us locked inside cramped-up spaces. We might desire change but the powerful subconscious mind keeps on amassing. Any form of clutter serves to suppress our own aliveness. Understanding why we need to hold onto clutter that does not light us up will help to release it. Letting go of; will create new pathways for more consideration in future accumulation where you are able to afford yourself living spaces that energize you.

THE LITMUS TEST FOR LETTING IT GO

Ask yourself this question: “What does it do for me when I look at or think about this object? You will immediately feel if it lifts or drops your energy. Do not ever ask yourself, “Will this come in handy some day?” The answer to this question will always be “maybe” – which means that you will never let go of anything. Things you really love have a strong, vibrant energy field around them

The mind is committed to keeping you right about exactly where you currently are. To go beyond that requires courage and that is where your true power lies waiting.

Happy clearing!
